Farther is developed and operated by Chetan Dhowlaghar. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Farther iPhone application. By downloading or using Farther, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please discontinue use of the application.
Farther is a walking analytics application for iPhone. It reads step count data from Apple Health and uses that data to calculate a Lifestyle Score, which is an exponentially weighted moving average of daily step activity computed over a certain period. This score is visualised through a Band Graph, a daily activity Cone, and a Day Heatmap.
The application is designed to give users a long-term, stable picture of how they move through life, without the pressure of daily targets or streaks.
Farther is a personal wellness tool. It is not a medical device, a clinical application, or a substitute for professional medical advice. Nothing the application displays should be interpreted as a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or a medical opinion of any kind. You assume full responsibility for how you interpret and act on information the application provides.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Farther. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
Farther requests permission to read step count data from Apple Health. This permission is optional, but the application's core features will not function without it.
Farther does not request access to any other HealthKit data category. It does not read your heart rate, sleep data, location, weight, nutrition, or any other health metric.
You may revoke Farther's access to Apple Health at any time through your iPhone settings.
Farther currently reads step count data from Apple Health and does not write any information back to Apple Health.
You may use Farther without creating an account. Firebase Authentication assigns a randomly generated anonymous identifier that supports continuity across sessions.
If you choose to sign in, Farther uses Sign in with Apple exclusively. You control what personal information Apple shares with the application at the time of sign-in.
All content within Farther, including the Lifestyle Score methodology, Band system, visual design, application name, and underlying code, is the exclusive property of Chetan Dhowlaghar and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
The current version of Farther is free and supported by advertising revenue through Google AdMob.
Farther does not share your health data, step history, Lifestyle Score, or application-generated insights with advertising partners.
Future versions may introduce premium subscriptions or one-time purchases that remove advertising and unlock additional features.
Farther is an evolving product. Features may be added, modified, or removed over time.
Farther is a wellness tool for personal insight. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.
The Lifestyle Score, Band classification, activity Cone, Day Heatmap, walking projections, baseline forecasts, estimated walking durations, and all other application-generated insights are informational outputs derived from step count data.
They do not constitute medical advice.
Farther is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.
The accuracy of application-generated metrics depends on the accuracy of step data recorded by Apple Health and your device.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chetan Dhowlaghar shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Farther.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total liability of Chetan Dhowlaghar arising from or relating to Farther shall not exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for use of the application during the twelve months preceding the claim.
Farther is intended for users aged 13 and older.
You may stop using Farther at any time by deleting the application from your device.
Users may delete their account through the application. Account deletion removes associated account information and stored baseline history.
These Terms may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the application, services, or applicable law.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
